Purpose of the Job
To strategize, direct, maintain and gain new Mining fuel business opportunities with selected international and local Mines, through development of robust sales strategies & plans, maximizing business performance, cross-collaborations internally and management of external customers & stakeholders in order to increase margin opportunities.

What you'll have before:
Baseline
- NQF Level 7 (Degree in Sales/ Marketing/ Business
- Administration/ Commerce/ Engineering or relevant)
- 10 years in Sales & Marketing environment with 5 years' operating as Senior / Managerial level.
- Experience in strategy development & stakeholder management.
Advantageous
- Knowledge of Direct Sales specifically in Mining/ KAM industry sector
- Experience managing large teams

What you'll be doing:
BUSINESS STRATEGY & PLANS
- Formulate and implement mid and long-term strategies for a secure, sustainable and value maximising sales strategies, portfolio growth and strategic alliances through comprehensive assessment and understanding of market dynamics, business and growth opportunities while ensuring alignment to Engen's objectives and maximum profitability & growth.
BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
- Direct, guide and accountable to manage aviation business performance for short-term (annual) and medium-term (four years) by maximizing value optimization, minimize value leakages, capitalizing market movement & contracts, improve operational efficiencies & decision making, optimise customer profitability and understanding external environment competition & key drives to ensure maximum and sustainable profit to the Business and build high performing team to achieve it.
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Accountable to formulate business growth & development strategy through developing & maintaining a pipeline of business opportunities, actively engage customer base for Engen cross selling opportunities, understanding market dynamics, competitor's direction and implementing marketing strategies to ensure continuous growth for Engen businesses.
COMPLIANCE (HSEQ & GOVERNMENT)
- Enforce the implementation of all applicable Engen guidelines (e.g. HSEQ requirements & ZETO Rules) & Legislative requirements to stakeholders in order to ensure compliance and to safeguard Engen's interests.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Strategize in the management of stakeholders by prioritising and determining strategic business alliances through regular engagements with clients/customers, partners, Government Authorities, Business/Management Institutions, National and key industry players to keep abreast with socio economic and geopolitical events/ changes that may impact Engen's interests with the objective of optimising value creation.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent field trips visits to industrial accounts in defined areas of responsibility across RSA
- Use of PPE
