Purpose of the Job

To drive relationships and Business opportunities at New Mining accounts where Engen has no presence. To build and manage a sustainable new business pipeline. Responsible for the coordination of new tenders together with key business stakeholders.

What you have done before

Baseline

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Sales & Marketing/ Engineering)
  • 8 years experience in Business Development in the Mining business

Advantageous

  • Degree in Marketing or Engineering
  • Lubricants Knowledge
  • Experience in dealing with Mine Managers

What you'll be doing

PEOPLE POLICY, PLANNING & STRATEGY
•    Develop and Implement New Business Strategy for Mining (Hunter) 
•    Liaising with Key decision makers at New Mining operations – example Mining managers and engineers, Purchasing/Procurement 
•    Work with Engen Technical to run trials and product endorsement at New Mining accounts 
•    Identify new business opportunities with New Mining accounts


ORGANISATIONAL ANALYSIS 
•    Drive New Business opportunities in the Mining sector and associated segments where applicable (selected construction/Industrial accounts, Mining Contractors)
•    Focus on New Business 
•    Drive Sector Strategies to new Mining accounts


PERFORMANCE MONITORING 
•    Strong focus on KPI’s Example, 2 New Mining accounts per year and Improve Mining Pipeline.
•    Increase Engen’s Market share in the Mining Sector.
•    Drive Strategic advantage over competitors. Example Fluidlink, IOT’s, CEM, VIP 
•    Trials and Product conversions success rate.


CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT 
•    Drive and develop the New Mining account strategy 
•    Effective Call planning for New Mining accounts 
•    Work with Engen Support to deliver KPI’s 
•    Purely New Mining Business Focus

Working Conditions

Ability to travel nationally for longer periods
