What you'll have done before:

Baseline

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Human Resources/ Industrial Psychology or related)
  • 6 years experience in Recruitment/ Talent Acquisition function
  • Experience on candidate sourcing techniques with ability to identify & attract individuals for scarce and critical skills
  • Knowledge & understanding of relevant Legislations and Acts (BCEA/ LRA/ EEA)

Purpose of the Job

To lead the attraction, sourcing, and recruitment of high-calibre talent across internal and external talent markets for middle to senior management positions. The role is responsible for delivering end-to-end talent acquisition solutions that support business objectives, with a strong focus on building diverse talent pipelines, enhancing employer brand, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience, and securing quality hires with the critical capabilities required to drive organisational performance and future growth.

What you'll be doing:

Talent Acquisition

  • Deliver hiring requirements by attracting and securing top talent within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct role briefings with hiring managers to define requirements, benchmark talent profiles, and agree assessment criteria.
  • Advertise vacancies through effective internal and external channels, proactively source candidates, and manage the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Screen applications, coordinate interviews, assessments, references, verifications, and offers to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

Talent Mapping

  • Conduct ongoing talent mapping to identify and engage potential candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles to support workforce planning and business continuity.

Talent Branding

  • Promote and strengthen the employer brand through targeted attraction campaigns, candidate engagement, and market presence.
  • Support initiatives that position the organisation as an employer of choice and enhance its ability to attract diverse, high-performing talent.

Talent Acquisition Initiatives Support

  • Support the delivery of talent acquisition initiatives aligned to business objectives and workforce requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence (COEs), and stakeholders to implement effective recruitment strategies.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Execute sourcing and attraction strategies to build sustainable talent pipelines and support critical hiring requirements.
  • Leverage market intelligence and sourcing channels to identify and secure high-calibre talent.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, employment legislation, and governance requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate recruitment risks while driving consistency, efficiency, and process improvement.

Employer Branding & Awareness

  • Represent the organisation professionally throughout the recruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Support recruitment campaigns and initiatives that enhance brand visibility and talent attraction.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide recruitment reports, analytics, and insights to support workforce planning and informed decision-making.
  • Analyse recruitment and talent data to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coaching

  • Partner with hiring managers to provide expert recruitment advice and support effective hiring decisions.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and coach managers on recruitment best practices, policies, and processes.
