What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and manage annual salary budgets, short-term and long-term incentive plans (STIP & LTIP).
- Oversee pension fund surplus utilization and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Design and maintain reward strategies, retention programs, and technical ladders to support capability development.
- Manage Executive Remuneration and prepare & present proposals to the Remuneration Committee (REMCO).
- Ensure effective governance of Employee Share Ownership Plans and benefit funds.
- Lead policy development for retirement, medical, insured benefits, and reward programs.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Discovery Health, Momentum Life, Alexander Forbes, and regulatory bodies.
- Market Analysis – Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking to ensure pay is both internally equitable and externally competitive.
- Payroll Oversight – Collaborate closely with the GBS Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses and statutory deductions.
- Compliance and Reporting including internal and external Audit requirements – Ensure all program and procedures comply with current laws and prepare necessary statistical and regulatory reports.
What You Have Done
Baseline
- NQF Level 7 Degree in Accounting/ Finance
- 10 years experience managing the Finance/ Compensation function (operating at Senior Management level)
- 5 years HR Reward experience.
- Strong knowledge of Labour Acts (LRA, BCEA, EEA) and Employee Share Schemes.
Advantageous
- CA(SA), Global Rewards Practitioner Certification.
