Job Purpose
To ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance repairs are carried out on all Engen bulk delivery vehicles, in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and all policies and procedures within acceptable time frames and within the approved budget and that strict compliance to HSEQ policies and procedures are adhered to.

What You Would Have Done Before:

Qualification:

NQF Level 4 (Matric) 
Qualified Diesel Mechanic/ Trade Tested
EC Driver License

 

Experience:

3 years post trade test experience in Diesel Mechanics
Experience in fuel industry with specific experience in bulk tanker fleets
Experience in fuel tanker operations and ancillary equipment on tankers
Mercedes Benz 2645 and Scania repair/diagnostic and maintenance knowledge.

 

Advantageous:

3 years post trade test experience in Diesel Mechanics
Experience in fuel industry with specific experience in bulk tanker Dangerous Goods fleets
Maintenance and diagnostic abilities for axles, air suspension, metered and ETLG equipment.
Mercedes and Scania OEM maintenance and diagnostic training completed

 

What You Will Be Doing:

FLEET MAINTENANCE
•    Ensure that workshop procedures are followed, and relevant documents are recorded
•    Comply with Engen's standing instructions, policies and procedures
•    Conduct pre-repair fleet inspections
•    Ensure daily administrative reporting is done and submitted (on vehicle job cards, MIT's, tyre reports, breakdown reports, vehicle hand over reports and workshop equipment)


CUSTOMER & SERVICE PROVIDER INTERFACE
•    Interact with customers and service providers 
•    Work with contractor to ensure deliverables are met
•    Provide internal support to the contractor


HSEQ COMPLIANCE
•    Ensure compliance to HSEQ policies and standards 
•    Ensure that contractors adhere to safety procedures

 

Working Conditions:

Will be required to work shift and be on standby.
