Purpose of the Job

To transport finished products over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centres in order to meet delivery schedules and customer needs as per agreed SLA's.

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 4 (Matric/Grade 12)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (Code 14)
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
  • 2 years professional driving experience in a Petrochemical industry
  • Experience in customer service and administration
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
    Advantageous
  • Knowledge of scheduling and delivery

What you will be doing

PRODUCT DELIVERY

  • Deliver the product to customers in a safety manner and in line with agreed schedules and timelines


CUSTOMER RELATIONS

  • Build & maintain effective relations and provide professional customer service to customers and stakeholder in order to ensure smooth business operations


COMPLIANCE & VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

  • Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen's HSEQ policies and ZeTo rules to ensure individual safety and that of others, safeguard business operations and Engen's compliance to industrial requirements
  • Ensure compliance to all road driving rules and regulations
  • Inspects vehicle and report any faults for relevant repairs in order to determine safe operating
  • Ensure proper use and care of the vehicle at all time

 

 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Ensure that the relevant administration is completed and documented (before and after the deliveries)

 

Working Conditions

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work extended hours and shifts (weekends, public holidays, night shifts)
  • Must be medically fit to operate a heavy motor vehicle
